The Channel Islands Rocket wide is the user-friendly cousin of the Rocket 9, and can be surfed as someone's first shortboard or as a skilled surfer's everyday go to. The outline features a wider tail block to skate across flat sections and a wider hybrid style nose that will give you better paddle power. As a groveller, the Rocket wide is meant to be surfed in everyday conditions, from 2ft to 5ft this board will be a lot of fun in any type of break.

A relaxed entry rocker will ensure easy entry into waves while a moderate exit rocker will combine with the swallow tail to allow you skate like manoeuvrability. A lot of concave exists to assist with speed across flat spots and through your turns. Working through the board is a single concave, that moulds into a double before veeing out the tail.

This version of the model comes in a EPS construction with SPINE -TEK technology and is set up as a thruster with Futures fin boxes. Advanced surfers should surf this board 2-4 shorter than your height, novice surfers will surf this at your height. SPINE-TEK boards are Eco Board certified as part of the Sustainable Surf programme.

SPINE-TEK:

Channel Islands SPINE-TEK is a collaboration with Shapers Australia. The Spine is a precision engineered stringer that is created from a unique composition of fiberglass and resin. A little bit of science become involved through the principles of elastic and kinetic energy in order to form natural flex patterns. The CI team riders were used in the development faze to assist the shapers in finding a method that found the boards best possible flex pattern.

An ideal combination was found to allow the surfboard to load up with energy during flex and then release the energy when required, helping with drive, speed, power and flow. The Spine only weighs a _ of a pound and replaces the traditional heavier timber stringer. Inside this EPS construction youre now getting a board with the benefits of EPS and natural flex the SPINE -TEK provides.
