Haydenshapes Holy Grail Future Flex FCS II Surfboard
- Colour: Clear
With more refined details compared to HS' best-selling Hypto Krypto board, the Holy Grail can perform tight critical manoeuvres in the pocket which advanced surfers can push to perform but still remains a board that your average surfer can throw around too. By reducing the surface area in the nose (compared to the Hypto Krypto) this board combines a mellow entry rocker for increased paddle power with a slightly steeper rocker 12" back from the nose to improve the fit in the tighter curves of the wave. The inverted lines in the tail compensate for the wider surface area and adds an aggressive curve to the rail line of the board affecting your surfing when on rail and late in your turns.
To summarise, the Holy Grail is a performance board that is ridden shorter and wider than a traditional performance design, it has plenty of volume throughout the board to ensure it can paddle easily, along with a lot of flow when surfing off the front foot. Although it is shorter, wider and more carries more volume, the design does not sacrifice any performance or response off the back foot for when you line up those great sections or waves.
Designed by Hayden Shapes founder Hayden Cox, Future Flex is a revolutionary construction that combines a stringer-less, custom shaped EPS core with biaxial fibreglass, epoxy resin and a parabolic carbon fibre frame. The outcome is a construction that offers speed like no other by storing and then releasing energy at the board transitions through various turns and manoeuvres.
