The Havok was the first board in the Clayton range to be tested with the SPINE-TEK technology and the results were so good, Clayton decided to release an entire range of boards with the tech. The board combines the patented technology with EPS and Epoxy to mould this performance shortboard.

The extra responsiveness of the SPINE-TEK gave the board meant they would need to reduce the rocker and widen the tail for more drive. The rocker is still moderate but not as heavy as the PU version of this model, while a single to double concave runs beneath to give the board plenty of speed.

The extra width across the shape will give the board smoother turns on the rail whilst keeping it forgiving as well.

The Havok is set up as a Thruster with a Futures fin system and should be ridden at 1-2 inches shorter than your regular board and 1/4-1/2 inch wider.

This Clayton Surfboard comes in the exclusively licensed technology SPINE-TEK. This tech is patented technology and only licensed to Clayton and Channel Islands Surfboard. It uses a precision moulded fibre spine that is engineered to deliver a higher level of strength, durability and flex to performance surfboards. The innovation enhances overall performance by using kinetic energy to inject the board with additional speed, power and flow.
